Plug and Drive

General Motors on Wednesday became the first automaker to commit to make a rechargeable hybrid vehicle, a move intended to distance the world's largest automaker from its reputation for producing gas-guzzling trucks.

Good news on the GM front with the Chief Executive, Rick Wagoner, announcing that hybrid technology would be the key component to GM's turnaround strategy.

Their first planned item is a hybrid version of the Saturn Vue.
